This past weekend, I embarked on my first ever comic con, and my first ever two day event. Wow it was intense! I met a lot of cool attendees and vendors, and I was super impressed that the convention center used to be an ice rink. I loved the little details like the second floor seating and balcony and the scoreboard.

The celebrities were cool, mostly from Red Dead Redemption, and the attendees were enthusiastic and had great cosplay!

My favorite part was the many conversations I engaged in, and a common request emerged that I have heard before but not for the same reasons. Please sell an audiobook!

Normally, when this request is made, the person tells me they don’t read books anymore. They don’t have time, or they prefer to be read to in the car, and I totally get that, but many people at Mid-Hudson told me different stories. Stories of traumatic brain injuries, vision loss, and physical incapability of holding a book in their hands. I was a little lost for words because in most cases, they were genuinely interested in the Knights series, but were not capable of interacting with it as a book.

And so, in light of their heartfelt confessions, I think now is the time to finally finish The Knights Lost in the Void audiobook. Many of you know that I started recording it years ago, as the first five chapters of the first version are in fact on my website. There is a long story as to why it was not completed then, but perhaps the time is finally right.
